Got a trip to Rumney or the Red River Gorge coming up? Flash Foxy’s Cleaning Bolted Anchors course is great for new, or new-to-outdoors, climbers looking to gain a skill that will help them become more technically proficient climbing partners. Top roping is one of the most accessible forms of climbing, and this course will give you all the tools you need to clean up after a day of climbing on bolted anchors outdoors. We’ll go over cleaning an anchor via lowering and rappelling. Bolted anchors are commonly found at both sport climbing and trad climbing areas. Some experience top rope climbing and belaying is recommended but not required.
Â
All gear, snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Â
Spots are limited to maximize learning. Please RSVP. Course is $5 to ensure attendance.

About Flash Foxy: Flash Foxy originated to empower women climbers and offer a virtual space to connect over climbing, being outside together and building community. The climbing community is not static and Flash Foxy has adapted over the years to meet the needs of its membership as they grow, change and continue to self-actualize. Presently, Flash Foxy stands with the women and genderqueer community - including but not limited to gender non-conforming folks - who need a space to pursue their love of the sport without having to deal with historic barriers to access, and actively encourage folks that are seeking this space to join this event, though all are welcome.
